The FD process is an affordable and timesaving way to determine eligibility to pursue a license from TREC, before enrolling in courses.

What’s New About the FD Process?
The required $52 fee can only be paid electronically on the TREC secure Online Portal.
FD forms must be submitted via email to fdrequest@trec.texas.gov.
TREC no longer accepts mailed checks or money orders for payment of this fee.
A requester must first create a username and password for the Online Portal. Registrants should sign up with an email account that is ready accessible, since email is the only method to receive the Fitness Determination form and follow-up communications about the FD request.
