If you are renewing for the first time, your TREC records must have a total of 270 qualifying real estate course hours. If you have completed only the initial 180 hours needed to obtain your license, you will be required to take 90 hours of qualifying courses and 4 hours each of Legal I and Legal II. Qualifying courses are 30 hours in length and do require a passing test score before credit can be obtained. If you have been made a supervisor by your broker, you will also need to take the 6-hour Broker Responsibility course.

Real Estate Brokerage – Course #751 (30 hours) We will cover all of the topics required by the Texas Real Estate Commission to meet the 30-hour prerequisite Broker Course for taking the Broker exam. Scenario exercises include completing business planning templates for use in real world financial, marketing, and business planning models. Real Estate Appraisal – Course 235 (30 hours) This is an introductory course designed to help the real estate professional better understand the appraisal process. It will provide information about the steps the appraiser takes when evaluating a property, and how the appraiser arrives at an estimated value for properties that a broker or agent may have listed, or for which a buyer client is under contract to purchase. The course can be an excellent tool for licensed real estate professionals to hone their skills for presenting information to clients that may be complex or difficult to understand.
